Hi! I’m Esther, the founder of Windmill Girl Tours.
I grew up in a windmill in the Dutch countryside, surrounded by the gentle hum of turning blades.
My parents still live in their beloved working windmill, so windmills have been a very special part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Growing up in a windmill gave me a deep, personal connection to the landscape, the history, and the traditions that have shaped the Netherlands.
I started Windmill Girl Tours to share that connection with visitors from around the world. Today, together with a small, wonderful team of knowledgeable and experienced female guides, our tours are about more than just sightseeing. We want you to experience the real Netherlands, hear the stories behind the places you visit, and feel that you’ve discovered a little piece of our beloved Holland along the way.
